Chrysler Sebring Saloon Car Review

evecars.com rating - 2 out of 5 stars
What’s it like to drive?
The Chrysler Sebring’s diesel engine may look the most wallet-friendly choice, but we’d prefer the quieter, more flexible petrol, which is cheaper to buy. Either way, it simply can’t compete with the Ford Mondeo or Volkswagen Passat in terms of being fun to drive, and composed around corners. You’ll also feel like you’re in a permanent gale thanks to the wind noise.

What’s it like inside?
The dash layout is simple if rather dull looking, but you’ll have no trouble getting comfortable thanks to heaps of adjustment. Watch out for the blind spots caused by the large rear pillars. The back seat is fine for two adults, three will feel squashed. Whether you’re a golfer or a shopper, the boot is up to the job, and the back seats fold to add more space.

Will it break the bank?
The Sebring is more expensive than the Mondeo or Passat, and doesn’t offer much more for the money. Customers haven’t heaped praise on Chrysler in satisfaction surveys, but the diesel engine has been a trusty performer so shouldn’t give up the ghost. Both safety kit and goodies are comprehensive.
