Great

* Different, spacey interior makes a dull day seem brighter
* Good fuel economy, so cheap to run
* akes a statement: save the planet!

Gripes

* Not as 'wow factor' as the new-look petrol/diesel Civic
* It does come with quite a hefty price tag to begin with
* Road noise can get obtrusive on the motorway
DriveDrive rating - 3 out of 5 stars
Smooth auto transmission means a relaxing drive, if you can stop stressing the engine has cut out on you at lights. It will start again, honest
ReliabilityReliability rating - 4 out of 5 stars
Honda has made other hybrid cars before so they're not experimenting with the Civic. Build quality is excellent too
InsideInside rating - 4 out of 5 stars
The digital speedo takes a bit of getting used to. Controls accessibility great and we love the futuristic looks
SpaceSpace rating - 4 out of 5 stars
Four adults will travel in style and although there isn't the hatchback-style seat adaptability in this saloon, it does the job in comfort
SafetySafety rating - 4 out of 5 stars
Standard stability control gets the thumbs up, as do anti-lock brakes and those front, side and curtain airbags
Standards and extrasStandards and extras rating - 4 out of 5 stars
As there is only one edition, you won't have to swither for long. Luxurious standard kit, so we say have leather interior too (£800)
