Drive The engine is a little gruff, but strong and willing and the ride can be a tad firm. Avoid big bumps as it rides surprisingly low
Reliability These cars are known for being hardy and reliable – like a pit pony, (although you'll never get it down the mine)
Inside Comfortable, unpretentious and sturdily put together. Driving seat is so high you may need breathing apparatus and ice axe
Space There are smaller fields in Hampshire. Hire a DJ and you could hold a rave in there!
Safety Front airbags and stability control come as standard, side and window airbags are available on pricier models
Standards and extras Basic models are a bit stingy, but mid-range Warrior offers Bluetooth connectivity. And for a warm bum choose Elegance for heated seats
