Great

* Handles well, thanks to Lotus’ input
* Plenty of kit as standard so no decisions required here
* Cheap to buy and run

Gripes

* Resale values are awful
* Doesn’t look or feel like a quality purchase (beige AND brown? eww)
* Engine is slow to respond and makes too much noise
DriveDrive rating - 2 out of 5 stars
Mediocre at best – takes ages to get going and makes a real fuss about it
ReliabilityReliability rating - 2 out of 5 stars
We’re not fans of the materials or the ghastly beige/brown interior colour but have heard no criticisms of reliability
InsideInside rating - 2 out of 5 stars
Practical rather than stylish, but too little seat adjustment or support
SpaceSpace rating - 3 out of 5 stars
Not bad for five, with a roomy boot that expands if you fold the rear seat down
SafetySafety rating - 2 out of 5 stars
More than two airbags and stability control aren’t even optional. No deadlocks means a security weakness
Standards and extrasStandards and extras rating - 3 out of 5 stars
Perfect if you’re indecisive – there are only four extras: CD changer, metallic paint, auto gearbox and sunroof
