Motor Show: Catwalk for cars - Introduction
Gone are the days when the only women at motor shows wore bikinis and high heels and draped themselves provocatively over cars. Most car makers still employ attractive women to staff their stands, but these days they're more 'Sex in the City' than 'Debbie does Dallas'.

Many more visitors to the shows these days are women, too: over 20% of visitors to the last British Motor Show in 2006 were female.

There's plenty to attract the whole family, from the sexiest new cars, to classic supercars, driving experiences, shopping and entertainment galore for adults and children.

This year the show will be taking place in London's ExCel in the Docklands from 23 July to 3 August, and we reckon it's one of this summer's hottest tickets.

Read on to find out more, and check back each Friday between now and the show for the latest news…
